An Artistic Summertime Celebration: Molly + Conor
There is something extra sentimental about a home wedding; The bride gets ready for the day in her childhood home. The bride and groom say "I Do" in a ceremony held at the family's church. A cocktail hour sprawls out on her backyard lawn. Several yards away, a dramatic white top tent stands in the pasture out back. Friends and neighbors dance the night away, creating new memories in a place that already holds so many.
After ten years, Molly and Conor finally tied the knot in a bright summertime celebration, right in Molly's own backyard.
Conor proposed with a painting by local Atlanta artist, Britt Bass, bearing the words "Marry Me". This painting created the central theme for the aesthetic of their wedding celebration. We attempted to mimic her color palette and whimsical style through the seating chart and welcome signs. Cheerful wedding day florals were affectionately assembled by Flowers from Us, a company who had created family arrangements and high school dance flowers for the family for years. A collaboration of pastel and watercolor floral bridesmaids gowns from Jenny Yoo softened up the bright floral color palette.
At the reception, Molly surprised Conor with another Britt Bass painting of her own, scripted with "Forever and Always". This couple capped of their 'Midsummer Night's Dream' with a luminary-lined sparkler exit, before riding off to the after party on a golf cart.
