The Brickyard: Haley + Matt

I grew up with today’s bride, Haley. Our moms were teachers at Eastside Christian School in Marietta, and we used to play together after school every day. We cheered together all through middle school, and although Haley was a year younger, I always felt she was one of my dearest friends growing up!

When Haley reached out after getting engaged to Matt, my heart almost exploded with joy. As Haley was going through her Nurse Practitioner program at the time, she and her family were very aware that wedding planning would be hard to build into her busy schedule. Haley had a beautiful and simple vision for her day, and we helped her create that from the beginning. This kept her wedding on budget from the start, and created expectations for her day. Even if you don’t choose us as your planner, it’s a wise thing to invest in a great one upfront. I can’t tell you the number of times I read through signed contracts where I could have saved clients thousands of dollars for the exact same thing. It hurts my heart! I know I could be considered biased, but hiring a planner truly is one of the most important things you can do.

Haley was open to ideas and trusted us completely. I absolutely love the way she and Matt’s day turned out with touches of dusty blue and blush, taper candlelight, and lots of greenery. Anemones are a favorite flower of the MMD team, and we were thrilled to see they were in season for this June wedding. Thank you Sarah Ingram for sharing these beautiful photos with us. Excited to finally share this precious day!

Cheers to you, Haley and Matt! Wishing you a marriage filled with sweet love, kindness, and lots of marathons!
